My British Reflections: Michael was raised in Putney, London. At the age of nine, he joined the local 5th Putney Sea Scouts, and played soccer for his school. While in his thirties, he formed his own soccer team as a player and coach. Michael then joined the neighborhood Karate Club and Associates, where he served as an administrator, promoting karate throughout the U.K. During his tenure with the KCA, he won a silver medal in the U.K. Championship and Gold Medal in Sweden.
